The
Process
Excellence Council
promotes process innovation and
improvement to help organizations achieve
their mission and their operational goals.
The
Process Excellence Council was initially formed to focus on the
Health Care industry because of the substantial opportunity
that exists to improve operations, reduce costs, and improve patient
safety.
Council
members consist of executives and practitioners with an
interest in learning, sharing knowledge, networking with peers,
and discussing the challenges and opportunities of process
excellence.
Process
Excellence offers organizations an opportunity to significantly
improve their level of performance and to increase their
capabilities to deliver on their mission and achieve their
operating goals.

In the News
The rate at which U.S. health care spending rose slowed in 2003, the first time rate of growth has slowed in seven years, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said Tuesday. Health care spending grew by 7.7% in 2003, compared with a growth rate of 9.3%. The report attributed the slowdown largely to dwindling public funding of health care, particularly in state Medicaid programs.
21% of the 2004 U.S. federal budget was spent on Medicare and
Medicaid, totaling $483 billion. |
